The SSI Navigation course equips divers with the essential skills and knowledge to find their way underwater with confidence and precision. Good navigation skills reduce stress, improve safety, and make diving more enjoyable by allowing divers to return to a designated point, such as their entry area or boat, without unnecessary surface swims.
Throughout the course, divers learn how to use a compass effectively, apply natural navigation techniques, estimate distances, follow specific navigation patterns, and combine different methods for greater accuracy.
