Become an SSI Nitrox diver
The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox course is designed to give divers the knowledge and skills to safely dive with enriched air mixtures containing up to 40% oxygen.
Diving with Nitrox offers significant benefits, such as extending no-decompression limits, reducing overall nitrogen absorption, and allowing for shorter surface intervals compared to diving on regular air.
During the course, divers learn about the physiological effects of oxygen and nitrogen, safe depth limits, equipment considerations, how to analyze gas mixtures, and how to plan Nitrox dives using dive computers or tables.
The program combines engaging digital learning with practical application, ensuring divers feel confident in using Nitrox for recreational diving. Upon completion, divers earn the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty certification, which is recognized worldwide and opens the door to longer, safer, and more enjoyable dives.
